The town hall in Inverurie is situated in the heart of the town in Market Square. The venue holds 494 people – 360 in the stalls, seated in 18 rows of 20 seats and 134 in the balcony. The stage is raised and has a rake (a slope towards the audience) allowing good views from all seats – there are no restricted view seats.
The Town Hall was built in 1862 and dominates the triangular town centre (known locally as the ‘Town Square’). The main shopping areas include the Market Place and West High Street which branches off from the centre towards the more residential part of the town.
