Frequently asked questions

The questions we’re asked most often at the box office. If yours isn’t here, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

How long is the show?

About 2 hours 20 minutes: roughly an hour each half, with a 20-minute interval. The exact running time depends on how much the Dame and our comic decide to ad-lib on the night!

What age is the Panto suitable for?

All ages. We regularly welcome babies, toddlers, grandparents and everyone in between. It’s a family show from start to finish: no smut, nothing that would make anyone uncomfortable, and our scarier moments are pitched so that everyone can enjoy them.

How much are tickets?

TicketStallsBalcony
Adult£18.50£21.00
Child£17.00£19.00
Concession£17.00£19.00

Concessions are for anyone aged 60 or over and students in full-time education (see who can buy a concession ticket). TicketSource adds a booking fee (see below). Children under 3 on a grown-up’s knee go free.

Who can buy a concession ticket?

Concession tickets are for:

  • anyone aged 60 or over
  • students in full-time education

We may ask to see proof at the door, such as a bus pass or student card, so please bring it with you.

Where will I sit?

The stalls have 360 seats in 18 rows of 20 (rows A to R), all on the flat floor of the hall. The balcony has 134 seats in 7 rows (A to G), up a flight of stairs at the back of the hall. There’s no lift, so if stairs are difficult for anyone in your party, please book the stalls. The plans aren’t to scale.

Do babies and toddlers need a ticket?

Children under 3 don’t need a ticket, as long as they sit on a grown-up’s knee.

What is a relaxed performance?

Our relaxed performance is supported by the charity We Too!. We don’t change the show itself. Instead we use “reverse inclusion”: we make the whole audience aware of the moments that might be scary or could be a trigger, so everyone knows what’s coming and can enjoy it together.

A visual guide will be available in advance. It walks you through your visit step by step with photos, from arriving at the Town Hall to finding your seat, the interval and heading home, and includes a timeline of every loud or bright moment in the show, so you know exactly when they’re coming. To hear as soon as it’s ready, join our mailing list and tick the box for relaxed and BSL performance news.

What is a BSL-interpreted performance?

At our BSL performances, the show is interpreted into British Sign Language throughout. Our signer, Lesley, stands at the right-hand side of the stage as you look from your seat (house right). The BSL dates are marked on our Dates and tickets page.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes, in the stalls. Wheelchair spaces are on the left-hand side of the auditorium, where we remove certain seats to make room. Please contact us before booking so we can arrange this for you. The balcony can only be reached by stairs (there’s no lift), so it isn’t accessible to wheelchair users.

Do you offer carer tickets?

Yes. A disabled guest’s carer can have a carer ticket, with proof of eligibility: an Access Card, a CEA card, or a recent PIP or ADP letter. Carer tickets aren’t free, and they can’t be booked online: please book them through the box office on 01467 207000 or tickets@inveruriepanto.com.

Where can I park?

There’s plenty of parking around the Town Hall, including in front of the building and the large car park behind it, next to Marks & Spencer.

What can I buy at the show?

Ice cream from our sponsor Mackie’s of Scotland is on sale at the interval for £3. Our shop at the front of the Town Hall sells juice, slushies and sweets from Tutti Frutti of Inverurie, the local sweetie shop that sponsors the show. There are also glow wands and light-up novelties from £1 to £7: perfect for waving during the songs.

How do group bookings work?

We love welcoming groups. Please contact Jo at the box office on jo@inveruriepanto.com, who can arrange your booking, including group discounts and leader ratios.

Is there a booking fee?

Yes. Tickets are sold through TicketSource, which charges a booking fee of 4.5% plus VAT.

Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets?

We’re sorry, but tickets can’t be refunded or exchanged for a different performance. If you can’t make it, you’re very welcome to pass your tickets on to friends or family so the seats don’t go to waste. When you book, TicketSource also offers an optional insurance policy in case you can’t attend. Please check TicketSource’s terms and conditions for the details.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Not at the moment.
