Privacy policy

This policy explains how the Inverurie Panto uses information about you when you visit this website, contact us, join our mailing list or buy tickets.

Who we are

The Inverurie Panto is produced by Sets in Motion Limited (company number SC237048, registered office Victoria House, 13 Victoria Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1XB). We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about your data at info@inveruriepanto.com or on 01467 207000.

Information we collect and why

When you contact us through our website form, by email, phone or Facebook, we use what you send us to reply. Messages from the website form are passed straight to our email inbox by our email provider, Brevo, and aren’t stored on the website. To stop the form being abused, the website briefly keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address for up to an hour; it can’t be turned back into the address itself. We keep enquiries for up to two years and then delete them.
When you join our mailing list, we store your email address (and name, if you give it) to send you news and offers about the panto. If you tick the box, we also note that you’d like to hear about BSL-interpreted and relaxed performances, and we only use that to tell you about them. We only do this with your consent: we first email you a link to confirm, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Our mailing list is run by Brevo.
When you buy tickets, your booking is handled by TicketSource, who process your details and payment. Their privacy policy is on the TicketSource website. TicketSource shares your name and contact details with us so we can look after your booking. We only use them to contact you about the performance you’ve booked, for example if something about the show changes, or to warn you about something that could affect getting to the venue, such as roadworks or another event nearby. We do this because it’s needed to deliver what you’ve paid for, and these messages never include marketing. You’ll only get news and offers from us if you chose to join our mailing list.

Cookies and tracking

Only if you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner do we use:

Google Analytics, to understand how many people visit and which pages they use.
The Meta (Facebook) pixel, to measure our Facebook adverts and show panto news to people who have visited our site.

If you choose “No thanks”, neither is loaded. We store your choice in your browser so we don’t ask on every page. You can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. The booking system embedded on our Dates and tickets page is provided by TicketSource and may set its own cookies needed to take your booking.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the services above that help us run the panto (our email provider, TicketSource, Google and Meta), who process it on our behalf or under their own policies.

How long we keep it

Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we never email you again by mistake. When you book, TicketSource keeps your details for 24 months after your most recent booking, and records of the booking itself are kept for six years because the law requires it for our accounts. Enquiries are kept for up to two years and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@inveruriepanto.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
